Dust, a screenplay The novel Dust is the basis for this screenplay. But, because pictures aren't words, screenplays have fewer words than novels, and their words describing the pictures leave much to imagination, and both reading and writing a screenplay demand more imagination than does reading a novel, and representing its meaning cinematically is another exercise in imagination, whether or not it represents the meaning of the novel. That's why I imagined a pseudonym while I wrote it.
